In relationships we can all say or do some pretty hurtful things. When we feel like someone’s making a mistake, it’s hard not to get upset or want to give up on them. It might be when someone is making a bad decision or not thinking about things clearly. Maybe they’re not acting like the person that we know they’re capable of being. What’s important to remember is when you really love someone, even if there’s a million reasons to walk away, all you really need is that one reason to stay. When things get tough, instead of yelling we should be better listeners. Instead of giving ultimatums we should give options and instead of getting aggressive, we should be more patient and understanding. A lot of times when people need help, they just aren’t able to see it for themselves. As Winston Churchill said “never give up on someone you can’t spend a day without thinking about”.
