The best relationships are not 70/30, not 60/40, not even 50/50. A true partnership is 100% them and 100% you. See what a true partnership looks like in a relationship as a married man teaches a newlywed a lesson that he’ll never forget.
Sometimes in relationships we can get really comfortable with one person doing the work that we start to view it as their job. It can be something as basic as doing laundry so there’s always clean clothes, taking care of dinner so there’s always hot meals or constantly taking care of the dishes so everyone has clean plates. We get so used to these things being done for us we can forget to even appreciate them. The important thing to remember is just because someone does the work, doesn’t make it their job. When something benefits two people, but only one person is doing the work, the relationship becomes a sinking ship. But when something benefits two people and both people are doing the work, that’s when it becomes a partnership.
